Angelo Polli

The Man Behind the Vision of Metropolitan Cutlery

Whether adopting new technologies, re-thinking traditional business models, or setting new service standards for health and safety, Angelo Polli has made a career out of challenging the status quo. And in doing so, he has made MetroCutlery the industry leader in service-driven innovation. He became a member of the NYGA in 1978, while still an engineering student at Stevens Institute of Technology. In 1986, he moved the newly created Metropolitan Cutlery to Short Hills, New Jersey. He constructed a new facility in 1995, focused on both commercial and residential food service products. Mr. Polli served as president of the NYGA from 1990 – 1998, and thereafter served as the NYGA major accounts delegate, finalizing contracts with major clients such as Pathmark (A & P), Boston Market, and many others. To this day, he remains steadfast in his mission to provide the best business practices and services to his customers and the industry. His newest state-of-the-art facility is located in Moonachie, New Jersey, and he remains the point man for all presentations and negotiations with major market accounts.
